If the vehicle was last titled in Alaska

  1. Download, fill out, and notarize the Alaska Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application
    1. In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
      1. Time frame: Same day
      2. Cost to obtain: $15
    2. By mailing the application to:
      State of Alaska
      Division of Motor Vehicles
      Attn: CORRESPONDENCE
      4001 Ingra Street, Suite 101
      Anchorage, AK 99503
      1. Time frame: 2 months
      2. Cost to obtain: $15

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Alaska

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
