Colorado utilizes electronic titles. If your title is electronic, you will need to obtain a physical copy prior to pickup.

If the vehicle was last titled in Colorado

  1. Download and fill out the Colorado Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application
    1. Online
      1. Time frame: 2-3 weeks
      2. Cost to obtain: $8.20
    2. In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
      1. Time frame: Same day
      2. Cost to obtain: $8.20
    3. By mailing the application to:

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Colorado

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
