How do I get a duplicate title in Delaware?

Delaware utilizes electronic titles. If your title is electronic, you will need to obtain a physical copy prior to pickup.

If the vehicle was last titled in Delaware

  1. Download and fill out the Delaware Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application
    1. In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
      1. Time frame: Same day
      2. Cost to obtain: $50
    2. By mailing the application to:
      State of Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles
      303 Transportation Circle
      Dover, DE 19901
      1. Time frame: 4 weeks
      2. Cost to obtain: $50

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Delaware

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
