How do I get a duplicate title in Kentucky?

If the vehicle was last titled in Kentucky

1. Download and fill out the Kentucky Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   1. In person at the County Clerk
      1. Time frame: 2-6 weeks
      2. Cost to obtain: $6 + notary fees
   2. By mailing the application to the County Clerk
      1. Time frame: 2-6 weeks
      2. Cost to obtain: $6 + notary fees

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Kentucky

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
