Rhode Island utilizes electronic titles. If your title is electronic, you will need to obtain a physical copy prior to pickup.

If the vehicle was last titled in Rhode Island

  1. Download and fill out the Rhode Island Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application
    1. In person at:
      DMV Cranston Headquarters

      Cranston, RI 02920
      1. Time frame: 7-10 business days
      2. Cost to obtain: $53.50
    2. By mailing the application to:

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Rhode Island

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
