How do I get a duplicate title in Washington?

Washington utilizes electronic titles. If your title is electronic, you will need to obtain a physical copy prior to pickup.

If the vehicle was last titled in Washington

  1. Download and fill out the Washington Affidavit of Loss form
  2. Submit the application
    1. In person at the Vehicle Licensing Office
      1. Time frame: 4-6 weeks (same day at Quick Title offices)
      2. Cost to obtain: $39.50 ($89.50 for Quick Titles)
    2. By mailing the application to the Vehicle Licensing Office
      1. Time frame: 6-8 weeks
      2. Cost to obtain: $39.50

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Washington

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
