Wisconsin utilizes electronic titles. If your title is electronic, you will need to obtain a physical copy prior to pickup.

If the vehicle was last titled in Wisconsin

  1. Download and fill out the Wisconsin Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application:
    1. Online
      1. Time frame: 7-10 business days
      2. Cost to obtain: $20
    2. In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
      1. Time frame: Same day
      2. Cost to obtain: $25 + additional fees for credit cards
    3. By mailing the application to:

      1. Time frame: 3-4 weeks

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Wisconsin

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
