If the vehicle was last titled in West Virginia

  1. Download and fill out the West Virginia Duplicate Title Application
  2. Submit the application
    1. In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
      1. Time frame: 2-5 business days
      2. Cost to obtain: $15
    2. By mailing the application to:
      West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles

If the vehicle was last titled outside of West Virginia

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
